looking into the past

These beautifully composed, rich photos of UK photographer Mark Wilson have me thinking about the past. His photos in the series are also part of a fascinating pool on Flickr called Looking into the Past.

I LOVE this. Things like this and the pictures where families recreate old family photos (with the kids all grown up) make me incredibly happy.

That is awesome! Driving through LA I always wonder what certain areas looked like 30 or 40 years ago.

I feel that way about Chicago all of the time…although it still feels old there, you know? So that helps.

very cool! it would be great to go back to places from your childhood + take photos like this! also, this is similiar to the dear photograph site which is great too!
