Danny McBride is, like, my fave. Isaiah and I bought the first two seasons of “Eastbound and Down” on Black Friday and I have watched it nonstop since then. The major saving moment in Land of the Lost is Danny’s line, “Close your mouth, when you breathe…like we talked about.”

I haven’t had a lot of bad days lately. And anyway, my bad days are typically pretty okay because I thrive under the pressure of needing to find a solution. It’s the days that are slightly off that feel worst. When you’re 5 minutes late for a meeting, instead of an hour. When your food is good, but lukewarm. When your shower spurts a single burst of ice-cold water, but the rest of the shower is steamy and relaxing. Those days don’t feel so great, but in a deflated balloon kind of way. Nothing worth talking about has happened yet today, and so we’re making a day out of it. We’re headed out to Olive Garden for date night thanks to my rad boss and we’re going out looking for trouble. Pray we find some.
